Shipping costs

Original paintings are delivered free of charge within Ireland.

International shipping for original paintings is calculated at checkout according to the size of the work and the delivery destination, as a guide this is normally about 10-12% of the purchase price.

Limited-edition fine-art prints are shipped for €10 within Ireland and €25 internationally.

For deliveries outside Ireland, the buyer is responsible for any customs duties, import taxes or other charges applied by the destination country.

Dispatch and delivery

Original paintings are normally prepared for dispatch within three business days of payment being confirmed.

Fine-art prints are produced to order by a specialist fine-art printer and are sent to my studio for inspection, signing and numbering before dispatch. Please allow up to 21 days for this process.

Delivery times vary according to the destination and are additional to the preparation time stated above. Tracking information will be provided wherever available.

Every work is packed carefully to protect it in transit. Recycled packaging will be used wherever practical and suitable.

Cancellations and returns

If you purchase online, you may cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it without giving a reason. To exercise this right, please email hello@anthonycareyart.com within the 14-day period.

After notifying me, you must return the work within 14 days. It should be carefully repacked in its original packaging and returned using a tracked and appropriately insured shipping service.

Unless the work is faulty, damaged or not as described, the buyer is responsible for the cost of returning it. Original delivery charges will be refunded up to the cost of the standard delivery option. Any additional or express-delivery costs are non-refundable.

You may examine the work as you reasonably would before purchasing it in person. You may be responsible for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish its nature and condition.

Refunds will be issued using the original payment method within 14 days of receiving notice of cancellation. I may withhold the refund until the returned work has been received or until evidence of return has been supplied, whichever occurs first.

Damaged, faulty or incorrectly described work

Please inspect your order when it arrives and contact me as soon as possible if it has been damaged in transit, is faulty or differs significantly from its description. Where possible, please report the issue within seven days and include photographs of both the work and its packaging. This request does not affect your statutory consumer rights.

If a work is faulty, damaged or not as described, I will arrange an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable consumer law. Depending on the circumstances, this may include repair, replacement, a price reduction or a full refund. Reasonable return costs will not be charged to the buyer in these circumstances.

Images and appearance

Every effort is made to present each artwork accurately. However, colours may vary slightly because of photographic lighting and differences between screen settings.

Original paintings are handmade objects. Variations in texture, exposed material, surface marks and other irregularities that are visible in the photographs or form part of the artist’s materials and process are intrinsic to the work and are not defects.
