That was in my mind while painting this. The figure stands alone in a wide red space, facing something bright above—sun, moon, or maybe something else entirely. The atmosphere feels suspended. Full of pressure. But also still.
To the left, there’s a raised gold cross embedded in the surface, circled by a broken halo. It catches the light differently from the rest of the piece. I didn’t plan it to be symbolic, but it feels like something sacred. Or something watching. It could be memory. An echo. Or a mark left behind after a decision was made.
This painting holds the weight of a moment where everything could shift. Where you’ve come far enough that turning back is no longer an option—but moving forward still feels like a question.
