Nights Like These is a group of small atmospheric painting studies inspired by memories of a night sailing trip in Crete.
Built with layers of acrylic and plaster, the works move between sea, sky and abstraction. Deep blues, violet and turquoise are broken by pale passages of light, suggesting reflected water, cloud and shifting distance without describing a particular place too literally.
Each work is sold unframed on canvas-covered board.

Due to the heavily worked surface, the panel may have a very slight natural bow. This does not affect the painted surface.
Framing note:
This work can be placed in a standard 10 × 10 inch frame with the glass removed. A firm backing board will help support the panel and reduce the appearance of any slight bowing.
