Red Mountains 1–3 is part of the Mountain Notes series, a small group of works that return to the mountain form in a quieter and more reduced way. Working through repetition, colour, and slight variation, it becomes less a fixed view than a held sensation, but here the stronger red notes bring a greater sense of heat, tension, and intensity to the landscape.
