Seen and Unspoken
Original Painting | Mixed Media on Canvas | Framed
This one came from a place that felt too full to speak. Seen and Unspoken was painted during a stretch of time when the weight of the world and of my own life felt like it had nowhere to go. There was grief, yes. But also love, anger, compassion, longing, and something else I still don’t have words for.
As I worked, different archetypes moved through me. Moments of the Witness. The Inner Child. The part of me that remembers too much. It all ended up here, layered into the surface until that single eye appeared. Watching. Feeling. Staying.
The tear was the final mark. It came without decision, and I knew the piece was done. I painted this in silence, but the room felt full of people I’ve loved, lost, and still carry. Of places that have shaped me. Of moments that left impressions I’m still uncovering.
This painting is for those who feel deeply and quietly. For anyone who’s carried something unspoken for too long. It won’t give you answers but it might sit with you in the questions.
