A single plate holding a fish sits beneath a band of fluorescent pink, turning an ordinary object into something quieter and more symbolic. The image suggests offering, absence, ritual, or a meal interrupted. It is simple, but it carries a strange stillness.
In this piece, I wanted the object to hold the emotional weight usually carried by the figure. It became a small painting about nourishment, loneliness, and what remains when presence is implied rather than shown.
